Despite the boos from the crowd when he was drafted fourth-overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks, rookie Kristaps Porzingis has handled his transition to the NBA as well as possible for a kid his age. He's been mature, he's soaking it in, and he's behaved like a professional.

However, one of the overlooked things about Porzingis from what we've seen is his wry humor that he shows off on occasion. There may be no better instance of that than the rookie showing off his new socks.

Apparently famed sock company Stance sent Porzingis a collection of their high-quality socks. Of course, he chose to show them off on Instagram, holding up the pair that happens to feature his team's president, Phil Jackson:

For hilarity's sake, it's a shame that Stance didn't send Porzingis a pair featuring Jackson in his current form rather than back in his playing days.

While Knicks fans may still be longing for what could have been while looking at Jahlil Okafor or D'Angelo Russell, they seem to have at least an entertaining young player on their roster now. Even if he winds up being a bust, at least they'll get a few laughs along the way.
