Chick-fil-A's first real NYC location will land in October

New York City's first stand-alone location of Chick-fil-A, America's favorite ethically-questionable fried chicken-sandwich chain, now has a firm opening the date. The previously announced three-story Herald Square location at 1000 Sixth Avenue, technically the city's second after their NYU food-court outpost, will open its doors on Saturday, October 3, three days after the chicken chain unveils its first Long Island store. But, the Manhattan location will at least be bigger — in fact it's reportedly set to be the largest Chick-fil-A in America.

However, keep in mind that after the October 3 opening, the store will be closed on October 4, since the store's New York debut doesn't seem to include any revised plans to remain open on Sundays. The chain will, of course, get back to business the next day, but given the anticipation, this is either poor planning or, quite possibly, a plan to cause a riotous frenzy during these chicken-sandwich-crazed times.
