After a lengthy period of silence, Macklemore is back with big news. No, we're not talking about "Growing Up," the new Ed Sheeran collaboration that's a tribute to his newborn daughter, Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty.

There's actually much bigger news from the Grammy winner -- he's hitched.

Macklemore and Tricia Lewis managed an under-the-radar marriage on June 27, after "the Supreme Court ruled same sex couples could too," according to the latter's Instagram (the news was posted with a pic of Macklemore kissing his daughter's head).

As far as waiting to wed until everyone can, the Seattle rapper has been an outspoken advocate of gay rights, with his Mary Lambert collaboration "Same Love" peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Prior to their surprise marriage, Macklemore and Davis were engaged for two years.
