Anyone who can do more with spilled coffee than call out a loud profanity has Grub's respect, so count us among the thousands of fans of Guilia Bernardelli. Her very carefully controlled "accidents" (actually, ridiculously detailed watercolor-like paintings of animals, cityscapes, and famous entertainers) are created using toothpicks, demitasse spoons, and fingers.

As NPR notes, this genre of the expertly directed coffee spill has really exploded lately. Bernardelli's joined by other artists hard at work in the medium like Maria Aristidou and the husband-and-wife duo Angel Sarkela-Saur and Andy Saur.
