The Costs Behind the Winter Olympics

Beijing won the contest to host the Winter Olympics in 2022, becoming the first city to stage both the summer and winter games. In 2008, Beijing spent $42 billion for the summer games -- so how much will it cost to host the winter games?

Beijing says the winter games will cost a lot less, this time using an operating and capital budget of $3.9 billion.
