Rochester Officer Responds To Stuck Skunk

Rochester Police responded to a very important call over the weekend.

Well, important depending on how much you love adorable baby skunks. This little guy was running circles in the street after getting its head stuck inside of a yogurt container.

Officer Taylor of the Rochester Police Department responded, and very carefully, removed the yogurt container off of the skunk.

Baby skunks are not able to spray until they are about three months old, but you can see that the little guy sure did try.

This wasn't Officer Taylor's first save when it comes to baby animals. After the video of the "skunk save" went viral over the weekend, Rochester Police shared this adorable photo of Officer Taylor saving baby ducks from a drain.

A police officer never knows what the day will bring. Officer Taylor was called to the 400 block of W. Third St. this morning for a baby skunk with its head stuck in an empty yogurt container. Luckily baby skunks can't spray like adults! Well done Officer Taylor!
