Russell Wilson Agrees to New Contract with Seahawks

On Saturday night the Seattle Seahawks locked up their latest player by signing linebacker Bobby Wagner to a four-year, $43 million contract extension. The move came one day after Seattle inked quarterback Russell Wilson to a four-year, $87.6 million extension, as both players now join a bevy of talent – Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, among others – that are guaranteed to be in the Emerald City for the foreseeable future.

Following the Wagner news, fellow Legion of Boom linebacker Bruce Irvin was quick to congratulate his running mate.

Irvin also gave a funny little quip about his own contract dealings (the Seahawks declined Irvin's 2016 option, thus making him a free agent after this season). Essentially: don't worry bout ol' Bruce Bruce, he's gonna get his.

Hard not to love Irvin's attitude. Spread the love for the teammates – everyone eats – but also let it be known that your time is coming. Plus, anytime you quote a line fromDoggystyle it's a win.

Since joining the league in 2012, Irvin has amassed 74 tackles, 16.5 sacks, three interceptions and two touchdowns (both last season). Should Seattle remain disinterested following the 2015 season, it' widely speculated that Irvin will rejoin with former Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, now head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.
