Donald Trump opened a dominating lead in Republican presidential polls on Thursday, sitting seven points above the rest of the field.

The Qunnipiac poll showed the real estate mogul at 20 percent, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at 13 percent and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 10 percent. Trump's number was the highest one in seven polls the university has distributed so far this campaign season.

Four candidates tied for fourth place with six percent: Dr. Ben Carson, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Florida Senator Marco Rubio.

A day earlier, Trump continued bashing the media.

"I truly LOVE all of the millions of people who are sticking with me despite so many media lies," he wrote on his Facebook page onWednesday. "There is a great SILENT MAJORITY looming!"

He also rebuffed the polarizing Koch Brothers, who've long been a media lightning rod for their large donations to Republican presidential candidates.

"I really like the Koch Brothers (members of my P.B. Club), but I don't want their money or anything else from them. Cannot influence Trump!" Trump tweeted on Wednesday.
