Woman's Facebook Post Hoping To Find Girl Who Was Bulled Goes Viral

PORTER COUNTY, Ind. -– An Indiana woman's Facebook post went viral with more than 3,000 shares just a day after she wrote a touching letter to a girl who was body shamed at the Porter County fair.

"This is only a Facebook post, in which I don't have enough time to tell you about my life. But I have been thinking about last night all day, I need to find you and tell you how beautiful you are, and how much you are worth. Your smile was perfect, and truthfully you are beautiful," Kate-Lynn Edwards wrote.

The post came after she saw the young lady in line for a ride at the fair. She had a hard time getting on the ride because of her weight.

"Once her mom helped her up you could hear one of them say something and then two girls laughed really, really loud and then the young lady that I'm searching for her face just looked devastated and so sad," said Edwards.

Edwards related to that feeling from personal experience. She was bullied in high school over her weight. Now she's an Indy Pro Wrestler, encouraging young women to embrace their body type and love themselves. She says she received more than 60 messages from women saying her post to the unknown girl touched their lives.

"I didn't realize there were so many people out there who don`t realize that they're all beautiful and none of us are perfect and it's our imperfections that make us different," said Edwards.

She says the overwhelming response has made her consider starting a volunteer organization for young women struggling with body image.
