Satanic Temple Unveils Goat-Headed Statue In Detroit
The Satanic Temple is making headlines this week after unveiling a 1-ton, 9-foot-tall statue at an industrial building near the Detroit River.

The statue is of a Baphomet, a goat-headed idol found in several instances in the history of occultism.

The Satanic Temple was originally going to debut the goat statue at Oklahoma's State Capitol next to a monument of the 10 Commandments -- but that didn't work out so well.

So to avoid the same opposition, the group kept the location a secret until shortly before the unveiling. It attracted quite a crowd but that's not to say it wasn't without controversy.
