Police: New Hampshire Mailman Trespassed, Wore Resident's Boots

After a surveillance camera filmed a New Hampshire postal carrier breaking into a woman's house, the trespassing alone didn't raise people's eyebrows. It's what happened next that has people buzzing all over social media.

Richard Ringer, 39, of Raymond, reportedly tried on a pair of the woman's boots upon breaking into her home. Dover police said the resident contacted them after seeing the surveillance footage on her cellphone while she was at work.

Police said that nothing appeared to be stolen although the surveillance cameras captured an image of Ringer sporting the resident's boots.

After the police reviewed the images, Ringer was recognized as the neighborhood's postal carrier. Ringer was reportedly on his postal route when he entered the home.

Ringer was arrested at Dover Police Department's headquarters within hours of the incident. He reportedly faces two charges of criminal trespass because he entered the house, left, and then re-entered.

He was released on a $2,500 cash bail and is scheduled for arraignment in Dover on August 31.
