Tattoo-clad women prove you can rock the ink and still be an amazing mom

While body ink used to be stigmatized for being exclusively sported by bikers, musicians, prisoners, or "troubled teens," tattoos have become quite mainstream these days. Honors students, politicians, teachers, and even religious affiliates are rocking the ink.

Moms are no exception. While mothers with tattoos may still get a bad rep from those unwilling to let go of ancient stigmas, others fight for a mom's right to do whatever she wants with her body. There is absolutely no mutual exclusivity between tattoos and good parenting.



Moms have taken to Instagram to prove (not that they need to!) that you can cover your body in tattoos and still be the best mother in the world. At the end of the day, tattoos only grace the surface of a human being. They don't define anyone.

If anything, these inspirational moms should be praised for rocking the ink. They commit their bodies to beautiful art that illuminates their passions and interests. They show the world what's important to them and what they stand for, thus passing the amazing quality onto their children.

These children will grow up to embrace the beauty around them, be as open-minded and accepting as possible, and ooze creativity.
