Tomatoes Are the Secret to Having Youthful Skin

If you want more youthful skin, you may want to add tomatoes to your diet. Tomatoes are topping the list for skin foods and here are some of the major benefits for fighting against aging. Tomatoes are not only low in calories, sugars and carbs, but they're virtually fat free.

According to one study, adding tomatoes to the diet "showed a 50% mortality reduction." They are loaded with antioxidants such as lycopene—which protect against the ultraviolet radiation that can cause sun damage. Antioxidants are basically lifelines for skin cells!

Before you go overboard at the grocery store, one expert's best advice is that you buy organic and eat the peel to reap the most benefits. The outside is just as important as the inside!
