Public Gets First Look At Chicago Aquarium's Adorable New Member

CHICAGO — On a summer day, there could be worse assignments than inside the Shedd Aquarium sharing some time with a baby.

The aquarium's newest dolphin calf came into the world on June 1. This weekend, the public got their first view up close.

The mom's name is Piquet, she is 27 years old and this is her second calf. It'll be months before a contest is held and a name for the baby is picked.

For now, he's content to just swim and learn in the cool waters of the Shedd during the summer days ahead.
