Jordin Sparks Reveals That Boyfriend Sage the Gemini Calls Her 'His Wife'

Jordin Sparks can't stop gushing over the love of her life.

The 25-year-old opened up to ETonline about her new boyfriend, rapper Sage the Gemini, and it seems to be getting serious!

"It's very early, but I'm not the type of person who stays in a relationship if I can't see it going further than a casual relationship," Sparks said. "I could see marriage but we haven't really planned anything. He does call me his wife, though."

Wife?! The super-cute couple only just confirmed their relationship status in May, less than one year after her highly-publicized split from ex Jason Derulo.

Gushing about the man she's adorably dubbed her "Baemaxx," Sparks adds: "He's a really great guy. He's super sweet and very talented and makes me very, very happy."

Bleh 😳😜 #BaeMaxx

"I feel like it happens at different times for everybody," she said. "Sometimes you might feel like you want something right now and it's not the right thing for you and sometimes you probably shouldn't stay in it, but I would say love finds you when you least expect it. I'm a firm believer in not looking for it. It will find you."

It's not only love on her mind these days, as Sparks recently signed on as an ambassador for Monster High and has been focused on her new album, Right Here, Right Now. It's her first full-length release since 2009's Battlefield (though she did release her debut mixtape, #ByeFelicia, in November 2014), and Sparks says that her new album will showcase her artistic maturity.

"I've used my voice in different ways," she said. "The content is different. I feel like this one is more personal, and you can hear the growth in my voice."

Right Here, Right Now will also feature multiple genres and influences, including R&B, pop, power ballads, sad songs and turn-up tracks. "There's a little bit of everything," she teased. "It's very well-balanced."

As for the album title, it's fitting in more ways than one.

"I have music right here, right now," she said. "I'm coming into my own right here, right now, and all we have is right here, right now."

And Right Here, Right Now is a great place to be. See what Sparks had to say about last year's breakup in the video below.
