Laverne Cox was the first trans person Caitlyn Jenner spoke to

On "Watch What Happens Live" Sunday, Laverne Cox revealed she recently got the opportunity to help mentor a very special woman.

"You were the first trans person that Caitlyn spoke to ever," Andy Cohen said on "Watch What Happens Live."

"Yeah, we had a conversation back in January on the phone," Laverne Cox said.

"You said you spoke for 90 minutes," Andy said.

"Yeah for like an hour and a half, it was great," Laverne said.

Yes, Laverne was talking about the one and only Caitlyn Jenner.

It wasn't clear who called who, but we have to imagine it'd be pretty cool to get a phone call from either one of these leading ladies.

Laverne said she hasn't actually met Caitlyn in person. They have plans to meet, but their hectic schedules have prevented them from setting an actual date.

It's no wonder Caitlyn gave Laverne that sweet shout out on Twitter shortly after she announced her transition. "Laverne, you are fierce and fabulous! Your support means the world."

Laverne has given Caitlyn her fair share of love too.

She told Entertainment Tonight, "I feel was such a mess in my early transition, and the grace and elegance that she has at this stage is just, it's inspiring."

Well, ladies, we only hope your schedules free up soon, because this blossoming friendship sounds awesome.
