It's easy to admit that frosted, sugar-filled Pop-Tarts can be irresistible, but a young teen's craving for the delicious snack led to an unwanted adventure in the woods.

James and Crystal Driggers, a couple in South Carolina, kicked their 14-year-old daughter out of the house for eating a Pop-Tart without permission. While kicking your child out of the house is cruel and unusual punishment on its own, the parents didn't stop there.

They parents forced their daughter to go out into the woods and pitch a tent alone with just a roll of toilet paper, a whistle, a flashlight, and a watch. They told her to meet "someone" at the family's fence during specific times if she wanted to receive food. This "someone" ended up being her brother, and he merely gave her an open can of Spaghetti-Os with a plastic spoon.

They denied their daughter entrance into their house for two full days, but they expected her to stay away from their home for the week. She even had to fend for herself when thunderstorms hit the town on Thursday night.

Thankfully, the teen's grandmother was able to take her granddaughter in and report the situation to the police. James and Crystal Driggers have been charged with a single count of unlawful neglect of a child, and police said that it is possible that the parents will receive other charges as the investigation continues.
