Zendaya has recruited one of pop music's top songwriters for what will likely be her Republic Records debut. Over the holiday weekend, Zendaya hit the studio with Diane Warren, best known for penning smashes like Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart," Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" and Leann Rimes' "How Do I Live," among many others.

On Saturday (July 4), Zendaya posted a Snapchat shot to Twitter, with her tongue out and Warren flipping the camera the middle finger. "She's the bomb," reads Zendaya's Snapchat caption.

A few days earlier, Warren confirmed that she was "in da studio" with Zendaya, and that they were working on a "#1 SMASH!!!" together. "So exciting to work with young artists like @Zendaya who want to make REAL music!!" Warren wrote.

Zendaya, the 18-year-old former star of the Disney Channel series Shake It Up and current star of K.C. Undercover, scored a Hot 100 hit in 2013 with her debut single "Replay," from her self-titled debut album. She recently shared studio time with Leon Thomas and appeared in Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video.
