Julia Roberts Cast in Garry Marshall's Mother's Day; More Stars in Talks

By Variety:

Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis are in talks for ensemble comedy "Mother's Day" with Garry Marshall directing.

Producers are Wayne Rice, Gulfstream Pictures' Mike Karz and Kevin Frakes of PalmStar Media, which is financing. PalmStar Media's Ankur Rungta is executive producing.

The script, written by Anya Kochoff-Romano ("Monster-In-Law") and Lily Hollander, centers on several intersecting stories on a single day — in the style of Marshall's "Valentine's Day" and "New Year's Eve."

CAA is representing the film's domestic distribution rights. The agency reps all four stars.

Marshall directed Roberts in "Pretty Woman," "Runaway Bride" and "Valentine's Day."

Roberts is also represented by Engelman and Co. Marshall is represented by ICM Partners and RPMedia's Rick Nicita at RPMedia. Aniston and Sudeikis are also represented by Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Hudson is also represented by Untitled and Jackoway Tyerman.

The news was first reported by Deadline.com.
