Woman Jailed After Refusing To Iron Husband's Pants

Dulce Requena Garcia, 21, spent 12 hours behind bars in Tampico, Mexico after her husband complained that she refused to do his laundry.

She was fined for "causing a disturbance" after the cops were called due to the couple's domestic dispute. When she could not pay the fine and her husband refused to pay it for her, Dulce was ordered to spend 12 hours in a prison cell.

Her husband, truck driver Edgar Ivan Perez Alvarado, said that his wife accused him of planning to meet a mistress and therefore would not iron his clothes. He was so frustrated by her refusal and accusation that he called the police to have her arrested. He told the police that his wife spends too much time in front of the television and neglects to do the housework.

Shockingly (not really shockingly), the police officers have received back lash about their involvement in the domestic dispute. One commenter wrote:

"The next time my woman will get annoyed because I got home drunk in the morning, I'll call the police and ask them to arrest her to calm her down."

Torreja added:

"What could I do so they take my woman. She eats out a lot and I need to hide my card from her."

Another commenter, Arly Morgut, said:

"He should have asked his mistress to wash those clothes."

This is a lesson to every wife out there that you better do your man's chores or he'll put you behind bars. Just kidding. Seeing as how Dulce is coming off as the heroic protagonist in the story, perhaps all the husbands out there should take a note and learn to iron their own clothes.
