The U.S. State Department said it would release on Tuesday the next tranche of emails from Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state.

Department spokesman Mark Toner told reporters on Monday the emails would be released, but he had no further details.

Clinton, the front-runner for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, has been criticized for her use of a private email address, connected to a computer server in her home, for her work correspondence while she was the nation's top diplomat.
