Mavs' Devin Harris thinks India is in Europe
The Dallas Mavericks might not have pulled of a draft steal, but they did make history on Thursday night. The Mavs drafted a 7-foot-2 center Satnam Singh, making him the first Indian-born player to be selected in NBA history.
When asked what he thought about the pick, Mavericks guard Devin Harris put his foot in his mouth while trying to give a team-friendly answer.
"I think we've historically have done well with European players, so why not get another one." -- #Mavs G Devin Harris on Satnam Singh

That's right.... Devin Harris thinks India is in Europe. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban knows where India is, and he also knows how many people live in India.
"There's a billion new Mavs fans out there right now," Cuban said.
Cuban's comments could also point to this being more about obtaining a fan base to buy merchandise, following in the footsteps of the success the Houston Rockets had in China after drafting Yao Ming. Ming would be voted into All-Star games while missing considerable time because of injury because of his large fan base.
There still is a lot to prove for Satnam Singh, and Cuban's popularity gamble only pays off if the center can become a contributing member of the team.
