Flood alert sounded in India as severe rains swell Jhelum River

A flood alert has been sounded along the banks of the Jehlum River in the Kashmir state of India as severe rains have caused the river to rise above danger levels. Flash flooding has already begun and more rain is predicted to hit the area over the coming days.
