Cryptic note from 'the watcher' frightens Jersey family
WESTFIELD, N.J. -- A family says they were forced to leave their dream home in New Jersey after receiving terrifying letters from a man who calls himself 'the Watcher.'
CBS New York reports the family filed a lawsuit claiming their $1.3 million home in Westfield is being watched. They claim the previous owners of the home knew about it, but never said anything.
The family says they have several children and one of the letters said, "Have they found out what's in the walls yet?" and "I am pleased to know your names now, and the name of the young blood you have brought to me." According to CBS New York, 'the Watcher' said, "I have been put in charge of watching and waiting for its second coming."
The mayor says an investigation was conducted, but no charges have yet been filed.
