Calvin Harris congratulated his 'girl' Taylor Swift on Twitter

Calvin Harris took to Twitter Monday morning to tell the world how proud he is of girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Why does Harris praise the singer superstar? The list is pretty long, but most notably, Swift just got Apple Music to pay artists during its upcoming free streaming trial.

The drama began when Swift wrote an open letter via Tumblr explaining why she will be withholding her album, "1989," from Apple Music. She wrote that artists deserve to be paid for their success, especially newer artists who do not have the means to support themselves otherwise.



16 hours after Swift published the letter, Apple boss Eddy Cue confirmed that Apple Music will indeed pay artists for streaming.

Thus, Swift just "changed the entire music industry." Boyfriend Harris could not be more excited for his "girl," so he shared the good news with the entire Twitter-verse.

While we love Swift and Harris as a couple, we can't help but imagine Harris addressing the tweet to us. The fantasy certainly helps us get through this Monday afternoon. Seriously though, why can't we be his "girl"?

Taylor Swift is one lucky gal. She has some pretty awesome cats, she harnessed her inner #GirlBoss and made things happen in the music industry and sexy Harris just claimed her as his own to the entire social-media-sphere. Talk about #relationshipgoals.
