President Barack Obama had a "Freudian slip" regarding his life after the presidency.

The president was speaking about federal prisoners at a Hollywood fundraiser hosted by actor-producer Tyler Perry on Thursday night that left many thinking he feels like a prisoner in the White House.

"We should be reforming our criminal justice system in such a way that we are not incarcerating non-violent offenders in ways that renders them incapable of getting a job after they leave office," he said.

The president recognized the "Freudian slip" when the audience started laughing.

"Little slip of the tongue there," he added. "Tyler is going to give me a job once I leave."

Obama isn't the first president to compare his office to prison. Back in 1993, then-president Bill Clinton called the White House the "the crown jewel of the federal penal system."
