The long awaited taco emoji has finally arrived

At long last, the gaping hole in our hearts (and texts, Instas, Snaps, Tweets, etc.) has been filled. The taco emoji has finally arrived, and we could not be more psyched.

As one of the most requested icons on social media, we couldn't believe the taco emoji didn't previously exist. There are, like, three different soup emojis and no taco emoji. Soup? Really?

But all is forgiven now that the glorious emoji is finally in our possession. In addition to the taco emoji, there are 37 other new emoji in Unicode 8.0 being released today. We may now utilize the burrito, the cheese wedge, the unicorn, the champagne bottle, and the classic hot dog.

We don't know what took you so long, emoji makers, but we're glad you finally got your heads in the game and gave the good people of the social-media-sphere what they deserve.
