Jeb Bush Enters Crowded, Leaderless GOP Presidential Race


1. Jeb Bush is set to formally announce his candidacy for President today, hoping to be the third Bush president in history. Bush is pledging his commitment to the "most vulnerable in our society," and is believed to take the lead in the GOP race once he officially announces. Read more here.


2. Sunday saw two incidents of horror on the beach: There were two shark attacks in North Carolina, where a 12 year-old-girl lost part of an arm and suffered a leg injury, and a teenage boy lost his arm. Read more here.


3. The search is on for more than 20 people and several (potentially dangerous) Zoo animals in Georgia, following a severe flooding ravaged the area this weekend. Among the animals that fled the flooded zoo were lions, tigers, bears, wolves, a hippopotamus and one jaguar. Read more here.


4. A veteran Algerian Islamist militant, known as "The Uncatchable" by the French military, was killed in a U.S. airstrike in Libya this weekend, according to the Libyan government. The U.S. has not confirmed his death, but did say he was the target of the strike. Read more here.
