Parents defend throwing daughter a $39,000 Disney themed 3rd birthday party

Eric and Trang threw an over the top Disney themed 3rd birthday party for their daughter, Lauren, that reportedly cost $39,000. The soiree was complete with Mickey and Minnie, a three tier cake and even a performance from an Australian Idol contestant.

Since the party there has been some criticism but Eric says the money was well spent. Eric said in a press release, "We inject tens of thousands of dollars back in the community through our celebrations and we are proud of it."

The family owns the venue Caversham House in Western Australia and they plan on continuing the tradition of having a large party for their daughter's birthday. Eric explained, "We work many hours catering for weddings and other occasions, so we don't get to spend much time with our own loved ones. The birthday party was a way to celebrate Lauren's birthday and enjoy the company of relations, close friends and business friends."

They even hired photographers to document the affair.

This isn't the first time Eric and Trang threw Lauren a big birthday bash. For her second birthday she had an outdoor 'Tiffany and company' themed birthday and for her first birthday she had pony rides for a carnival theme.

Lauren is one lucky girl to keep having birthday parties like this!
