Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood isn't immune to flops — evidenced by a joke the director made at Caitlyn Jenner's expense on Saturday during the taping of Spike TV's "Guys Choice Awards."

Eastwood was on hand to present a trophy to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and during his introduction referenced other athletes who went on to acting careers.

"[Like] Jim Brown or Caitlyn-somebody," Eastwood said, referring to the former Bruce Jenner who revealed her female form last week on the cover of Vanity Fair. The joke failed to amuse the crowd, which included Salma Hayek, Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Pratt and Rachel McAdams.

"We will remove the reference in the version that will air on June 18," a Spike TV spokesperson told TheWrap.
