The 2015 Tony Awards red carpet drew an eclectic crowd of theater virtuosos, Hollywood stars and models alike, but all attendees had one thing in common: A love of Broadway.

Whether they've had roles in big-budget Broadway shows, local childhood productions or have just enjoyed live performances from plush velveteen seats, almost everyone in attendance held onto a fond memory of theater.

"Musical theater has always been in my heart, so I feel like I'm coming home. I'm in indentured servitude to LA, but here is where I really feel like I belong," "2 Broke Girls" star Beth Behrs told AOL on the red carpet.

Model Bella Hadid, who has seen "Lion King" "about 200 times" said she was in a bunch of shows growing up including classics like "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Grease."

"My sister was obviously Sandi," she said jokingly of her supermodel older sister, Gigi Hadid. "I was the crazy one."

"Probably Rizzo," designer Prabal Gurung added.

Hadid isn't the only star to participate in shows as a kid. Ivanka Trump said she participated in many Christmas pageant productions as a child. The lifelong New Yorker and major Broadway fan revealed that her musicals.

"My favorite musical of all-time I think I'll have to go with 'Les Mis.' I first went to see it when I was 6-year-old and have seen it many times since," she said. "My favorite musical this year is 'Something Rotten.' "

On the topic of "Les Miserables," "Fun Home" star Judy Kuhn, who was in the original cast for the American premiere of the show, revealed she thought the film adaptation starring Anne Hathaway was "amazing," especially since it's such a difficult production to nail down.

"It's all really dependent on the production," country singer Jennifer Nettles said on the subject of film adaptations.

When asked what show he'd love to seen in a film, stage and screen mainstay revealed he'd love to see "La Cage aux Folles," a musical about a gay man who brings his fiancé home to meet his ultra-conservative parents.

Despite so much crossover between film and theater, some stars say the magic is all in the live performance.

"I think what's so special about musicals and theater is that it is live. Sometimes it's not so easy in a film for that reason," model Hilary Rhoda said.
