Reactions to the Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair cover have been widespread and largely positive -- with many praising Jenner for her bravery and boldness to be her authentic self. In fact, her Twitter account hit one million followers faster than President Obama's account.

In the midst of the praise, one detractor got quite a lesson after mocking Jenner posting a photo on Facebook.

The post quickly went viral, getting nearly 775,000 likes.

Then, when Coffey was searching to credit the photographer behind the image he discovered a quote "ironic twist."

The photo he had found was part of a documentary about a man who had been beaten outside of a bar in 2000 for crossdressing. The discovery had a profound impact on Coffey, so he posted yet again.

Now, crossdressing and being transgender are two different experiences. Trans means that a person's gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth, whereas many crossdressers simply enjoy dressing as another gender. This year alone, at least 8 transgender women have been murdered.

As Coffey ended his second post on the photo, "Hate helps nothing. Love wounds no one and God heals all. (and irony makes you think)"
