Man Gets Ironic Lesson After Mocking Caitlyn Jenner

Reactions to the Caitlyn Jenner's Vanity Fair cover have been widespread and largely positive -- with many praising Jenner for her bravery and boldness to be her authentic self. In fact, her Twitter account hit one million followers faster than President Obama's account.

In the midst of the praise, one detractor got quite a lesson after mocking Jenner posting a photo on Facebook.

"As I see post after post about Bruce Jenner's transition to a woman, and I hear words like, bravery, heroism, and courage, just thought I'd remind all of us what real American courage, heroism, and bravery looks like!"

The post quickly went viral, getting nearly 775,000 likes.

Then, when Coffey was searching to credit the photographer behind the image he discovered a quote "ironic twist."

Now, crossdressing and being transgender are two different experiences. Trans means that a person's gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned at birth, whereas many crossdressers simply enjoy dressing as another gender. This year alone, at least 8 transgender women have been murdered.

As Coffey ended his second post on the photo, "Hate helps nothing. Love wounds no one and God heals all. (and irony makes you think)"

Man gets ironic lesson after questioning Caitlyn Jenner's courage
In this June 1, 2015 photo, a journalist looks at Vanity Fair's Twitter site with the Tweet about Caitlyn Jenner, who will be featured on the July cover of the magazine. Caitlyn Jenner, the transgender Olympic champion formerly known as Bruce, on Monday unveiled her new name and look in a sexy Vanity Fair cover shoot -- drawing widespread praise, including from the White House. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender campaigners -- and many well-wishers -- welcomed the high-profile debut, as did the 65-year-old Jenner's family, which includes the media-savvy celebrity Kardashian clan. 'I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self,' Jenner wrote in her first tweet after the magazine released the July cover photo by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz.
