These #foodintheair Instagram pictures have our mouths watering!

Updated

The only thing better than a mouth-watering food Instagram is a mouth-watering "food in the air" Instagram. Now that warmer weather is upon us, Insta-fiends all around the world are posting pictures of summer foods floating mysteriously in the air with casual backdrops of the Vatican or the Empire State Building or what have you. Okay, maybe the food isn't actually floating; people are simply holding it out in front of the camera (read: iPhone). But the effect is pretty cool. See for yourself!

Nothing says summer like a floating hot dog cheering on your ball team!

The only thing prettier than that skyline is that ice cream sandwich!

Not sure what's even on that doughnut but it looks delicious.

Mmm loving that lush salad by the sailboats...in the British Virgin Islands...casual.

Summer is a melting ice cream cone on top of a cotton candy sunset.

"thesfbaelife" is right...there really should be a taco emoji.

It isn't summer in NYC until you've snapped that Smorgasburg ramen burger in the air.
