Miranda Lambert is calling out the sexist B.S.!

It all started with statements country radio executive Keith Hill made in the publication Country Aircheck.

"If you want to make ratings in Country radio, take females out," said Hill. "If you play more than 15 percent female on [country] radio, your rating will go down."

This did not sit well with many country musicians and fans, including Longview, Texas's own Miranda Lambert, who took to Twitter to call Hill's comments the "biggest bunch of BULLS*** I have ever heard."

"I am gonna do everything in my power to support and promote female singer/songwriters in country music. Always," she followed up.

Miranda is not the only country musician to take Hill to task over his misogynistic comments. "Wild Angels" singer Martina McBride took to Facebook, writing, "Wow.....just wow. Just read this from a major country radio publication. How do you feel about this statement? I especially want to hear from the females"

In the Country Aircheck interview, Hill goes on to call female country artists the "tomatoes" in the country music salad.

"Trust me, I play great female records and we've got some right now; they're just not the lettuce in our salad," said Hill. "The lettuce is Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and artists like that. The tomatoes of our salad are the females."
