6 Best Moments from Red Nose Day 2015

On Thursday night (May 21), NBC's Red Nose Day special offered a mix of emotional moments, comedy sketches and musical performances to raise money for impoverished children around the world and here in the U.S.

There's still plenty of time to donate to the cause -- by visiting RedNoseDayUSA.org, calling (844) 446-6673 or texting "GIVE" to 80077 -- and there's also still time to enjoy the night's many musical moments below:

Ed Sheeran & Kermit the Frog's "Rainbow Connection"
All together now: "AWWWWWW." Ed Sheeran was predictably adorable with his Muppet friend, trading witty banter before their musical number. The British singer/songwriter said donations "would mean the most to Kermit -- he's not allowed to go back to the swamp unless he brings back the bacon," the British singer/songerwriter said. "Some green, so to speak," Kermit quipped. The pair then sang an acoustic version of Kermit's signature song, "Rainbow Connection."

The Voice: Charity Appeal Edition
NBC's singing contest played a big role in the telethon -- including Blake Shelton's visit to South L.A.'s Children's Health Fund mobile clinic and winner Sawyer Fredericks' touching rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine" -- but the show-stealer was Nick Offerman and Will Ferrell's The Voice: Charity Appeal Edition battle round. Parks and Recreation star Offerman was mentored by Jeff Goldblum to face off against Ferrell in a Charity-Off. "Hello, I'm William Ulysses Ferrell the third -- the original Pharrell," the Anchorman star said to the judging panel of Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Shelton and, yes, Pharrell. "I'm the best at charity," Ferrell said after they were declared co-winners, breaking into a Tina Turner song: "I'm simply the best!"

U2's "Song for Someone"
Before U2 performed "Song for Someone" -- with videos of impoverished children playing across the scene -- frontman Bono told the crowd: "Tonight, it's a song for anyone who supports Red Nose Day, all across America."

John Mellencamp & Keith Urban's "Pink Houses"
"Ain't that America?" Keith Urban kicked off John Mellencamp's classic "Pink Houses" before introducing Mellencamp himself mid-verse. "Please don't forget to call and give whatever you can," Urban urged the crowd after the rocking duet.

Coldplay's Game of Thrones: The Musical
So we know that the point of this whole skit was what a terrible idea a Game of Thrones musical would be -- but are we alone in really wanting to see this on Broadway now? (Our favorite fake song title has to be "Rastafarian Targaryen.") Coldplay's Chris Martin got Kit Harrington (John Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenarys Targaryen), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and more of the cast to join in on the musical shenanigans.
