The new TNT drama, "Proof" is going to have everyone talking. The series tells the story of a cancer-stricken tech innovator, played by Matthew Modine, who persuades a brilliant surgeon, played by Jennifer Beals, to help expand her focus to searching for proof of the afterlife. Among other things, reincarnation, near-death experiences, hauntings and other phenomena, they enter into a strange new world of medicine and myth.

You've probably also have seen Matthew Modine in a variety of other projects, as well. Remember when he played Foley in "The Dark Knight Rises"? Or maybe, Pvt. J.T. 'Joker' Davis in "Full Metal Jacket."
