In a unique effort to help find a new home for their animals, the Ottawa Humane Society and volunteer photographer, Rohit Saxena, posed cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs with "Star Wars" characters.

The local 501st Legion is a group of "Star Wars" enthusiasts that make volunteer costumed appearances. The photoshoot included Stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders, the Imperial Spy Garindan and pet treats to make sure the animals were on their best behavior.

Similar attention-grabbing visuals have been used at other rescue organizations to help find families for their animals. San Francisco Animal Care and Control dressed a dog in funny hats to try to get him adopted and a foster mother in New York City posted 'Gangsta Cat seeks Homie' signs all over Queens to try and find little OJ a home.

At the end of the day, if these adorable animals can find comfort in the arms of Star Wars villains– they will definitely find comfort in a cozy home. Hopefully they didn't get too use to the Stormtrooper helmets though, most of us don't have those laying around.
