Happy Birthday, George Clooney!
On the 6th of May, legendary leading man George Clooney celebrates his birthday. The epitome of a movie star, Clooney was born in Kentucky, the son of a beauty queen and a news anchorman.
An athletic youngster, Clooney dreamed of becoming a professional athlete. He even tried out for Cincinnati Reds baseball team, but he didn't make the cut. After dropping out of college, he held a series of odd jobs.
When his cousin got him a small part in a feature film, he decided to pursue acting, landing his breakout role in 1994 as Dr. Doug Ross on the TV series "ER." From there, he soon became one of the biggest movie stars on the planet.
