This is Rubbish, the rescue sea lion who made his way back to the streets of San Francisco for the second time yesterday. Residents saw Rubbish huddling for safety under a car, looking very malnourished.

Rescuers were able to quickly scoop him back to safety, transporting him to the Marine Mammal Center, a rescue for sea creatures that has been heavily burdened by sea lion pups wandering outside of their normal habitat in search of food. The LA Times points to warming water temperatures as the main force driving sea lions to shore.
