Homeless Man Donates 18 Cents To Church With Touching Note

A homeless man in North Carolina is proving that you don't need a lot to make an impact.

Church's get donations in different amounts, every day from worshipers but an 18-cent donation to the First United Methodist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina was priceless.

This photo of an envelope was posted to First United's Facebook page and the inscription reads "Please don't be mad, I don't have much. I am homeless. God Bless" and it contained just 18-cents.

Pastor Hamrick spoke with the man who made the donation but says he wished to remain anonymous.

"It warmed our hearts because proportionally that gift could be an average middle class person giving a 1,000 dollars. I feel like he gave everything he had that morning," Pastor Patrick Hamrick told ABC news.

This gift is one of many that prove it doesn't take much to give back. In 2013 a homeless man in California donated $250 to a charity after collecting the money on the streets. When asked why he wouldn't spend it on food for himself, the man told reporters that giving back made him feel good.
