KHON reports hiker rescues have become a much more common occurrence and officials are urging the public to exercise safety as well as contacting websites that promote off-limit trails to take down their content."People like to go on these hikes because they see all these pictures online that look really nice. But all these hikes tend to be more dangerous and they might not be maintained as well, so they are definitely restricted for a reason. I think people should definitely try to avoid them."
