She told The Daily Beast website that she's suffering from Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration. It's a condition that causes distortion, fuzziness, and can ultimately total vision loss in the center of the eye.

Dr. Robert Maloney, Director of the Maloney Institute in Los Angeles, told INSIDE EDITION, "One of the dangers of Glaucoma is you don't know you've got it until it's too late. It affects your vision in the periphery first and gradually closes in, so you don't tend to notice it. All of a sudden, you finally figure out, 'wow, I can't see,' and it's way too late."

Barr made the stunning revelation as she was promoting the documentary Roseanne for President about her failed bid for the 2012 Green Party Nomination.

Barr says she uses marijuana to help alleviate some of the pain associated with Glaucoma, including intense pressure from behind her eyes.

She called the prospect of losing her eyesight "harsh."

Barr added, "I just try and enjoy vision as much as possible."

She says that doctors have not given her a timeline on when she will become blind, but her eyesight is deteriorating fast.

Barr said, "My vision is closing in."
