Make no mistake: Kumail Nanjiani is definitely not a member of the Big Bang Theory cast.

The Silicon Valley star took to Twitter after a Salon piece about the HBO show mistaking identified him as a regular on CBS' Big Bang (see below). His wife, Emily V. Gordon, tweeted to the author of the Salon article asking for a correction.

The author, Salon critic Sonia Saraiya, apologized for the error and it has since been corrected. Here is what the original text said:

"The startup team lives together in their incubator-;better known as Erlich's house-;and are tangled into each other's lives in a faux-bromantic way that recalls The Big Bang Theory more than [creator Mike] Judge's previous cult hit, Office Space. (Kumail Nanjiani, who plays Dinesh, is in fact a regular on The Big Bang Theory, and is playing a rather similar role in Silicon Valley."

Kunal Nayyar plays Raj on Big Bang.

The review looks at the lack of women in real-life Silicon Valley culture, as well as on the show.

"What is encouraging about the next set of episodes from Silicon Valley, in advance of its second season, is that the show is making efforts to be more aware of the discussion around women in tech-;aware and invested in a way that its male protagonists would prefer not to be," reads the review in part.

Silicon Valley returns Sunday at 10 p.m. on HBO.

So @salon did a Silicon Valley review & said I'm a regular on Big Bang Theory. cc @kunalnayyar http://t.co/CpwnHAI68o http://t.co/qH0SkRxlzF
My sincerest apologies to @kunalnayyar and @kumailn, who are NOT the same person.
Hey so @salon just changed that article on the sly. Aren't they supposed to print an official retraction or correction or something?
I deleted my tweet. There's no point in piling on. The article has been changed and that's what I wanted. Fuckups are fuckups.
I'm in the middle of reading the new @jonronson book about public shaming, that may have something to do with it.... (the book is great)
@soniasaraiya Thank you for your apology.
