9 songs guaranteed to get you ready for summer

Music is a beautiful thing.

We listen to it on the road, in the shower, at work, or mowing the lawn. No matter where we listen to it, music just gets you in the mood, you know? Now, this can happen for a variety of reasons. One, you have successfully turned on your iPod and the song you wanted to listen to was the first of the shuffle...the FIRST. Or, your favorite song manages to start as soon as you turn the radio on, success!

With summer right around the corner, we have created a list that will get you excited about the warmer weather! Because, let's be honest, warm weather and the perfect jam is a match made in music heaven.

The B-52's knew what they were doing when they created "Love Shack." The classic hit is one that every generation seems to know and you'll be humming it throughout the day...let's be honest.

An instant hit last summer, "Bang Bang" played on repeat on every radio station, but we're still not over it. The catchy beat and Jessie J's insane vocals, where can you go wrong?

We would be remiss if we didn't have a Beatles song on this list. Out of every Beatles hit, "Here Comes the Sun" can always put us in a summer state of mind. It's fun, it's happy, and it was also featured in "The Parent Trap," starring Lindsay Lohan.

No matter what age, mostly everyone has heard this song. Remember Matilda? It won't matter if you mess up these lyrics (we all have, we can admit it), it's a song that is guaranteed to pull you from whatever rut you're in.

The song was already a hit when Kelly released it in 2004. The beat is insanely catchy and she spelled "you" with the letter "U." Uhh, trendy much? It came back into the pop culture zeitgeist, not that it went away, thanks to the amazing rendition from "Pitch Perfect."

You know you have a hit on your hands when you've got the First Lady getting down to your jam! "Uptown Funk" is currently tied for the second-longest-leading Hot 100 No. 1 of all time and rightfully so.

Shake it like a polaroid picture! This song tops our list at number 2, and as well it should. The song catapulted to the top of the charts when it was released and and has played at essentially every junior high school dance ever since. We'll love this song to the end and it's certainly one that will get you ready for the sunshine.

We've got a feeling you agree with us about this song. "I've Got a Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas is a song guaranteed to boost your mood. Whether you're blasting it while you get ready for a night out, or just relaxing with some friends, this song will undoubtedly make you want to get up and shake what your momma gave ya.
