Noah Galloway Dedicates 'DWTS' Dance to His Tough Recovery

During "Dancing With the Stars'" most memorable year night Monday, war veteran Noah Galloway dedicated an emotional modern dance to the time he'll never forget.

It was 2005 -- the year a violent roadside bomb blast in Iraq claimed his left arm and left leg and his long road to recovery began.

"I got to where I just sit at home by myself and drink and try to cope with it by myself. Biggest mistake I ever made," said Noah Galloway on "Dancing With the Stars."

Noah admitted he battled with extreme depression while recovering from his injuries.

He was very athletic and physical before the accident, and he feared he had lost everything when he lost his arm and leg -- but one fateful day, Noah looked in the mirror and decided to focus on what he did have left instead of what he had lost.

He told People Monday, "I realized I wasn't being a good father, a good person. I let myself get out of shape, and something needed to change. ... I have two of my limbs and, more importantly, I have three children that I can be a better father for."

After months of hard work, he turned his life around for the better, and his emotional performance Wednesday night reflected his difficult journey of acceptance from the man he was to the man he is today.

Of course, Noah and Sharna's incredible dance had the audience on their feet and cheering.

It even brought judges Julianne Hough and Carrie Ann Inaba to tears during their rave reviews of the routine.

They certainly weren't the only ones. Wetpaint described the performance as "Whew. Impressive. Sexy. Powerful."

A writer for TV Fanatic gushed, "I can't handle how amazing Noah Galloway is."

We can't either, and we certainly can't wait to see what Noah and Sharna have in store for us next week.
