'Jeopardy!' Fail Is As Awkward As It Gets

Friday night's episode of Jeopardy! was one of the most awkward question and answer combos we've seen yet.

TREBEK: "In common law, the age of this, signaling adulthood, is presumed to be 14 in boys and 12 in girls."

TOM: "What is age of consent?"

Actually, the correct answer is "What is puberty?" The age of consent in the U.S. is between 16 and 18 depending on the state, so not only was the answer wrong, but incredibly creepy. And it didn't go unnoticed.

But if it makes the contestant feel any better, no one else got the answer right ... and Trebek's face was priceless.
