As far as news goes, March seems to be going out like a lion.

It has certainly been a busy week, with photos coming from developing stories like the building explosion in New York City's East Village and the Germanwings plane crash in the French Alps, plus sweeter moments like the group of science-savvy Girl Scouts who met President Obama and couldn't believe their luck. We also saw political headlines including Ted Cruz announcing his run for the presidency, and weather-related stories like the lack of snow at ski resorts in drought-stricken California.
