#FoodnitedStates of America: Father and son create hilarious food map of U.S.

Updated

#FoodnitedStates is a photo project spearheaded by Foodiggity's Chris Durso and his 8-year-old son. The duo has set out to create a delicious portrayal of the United States using food, and with the help of some playful puns they've already recreated 26 genius states made of foods like beef jerky, watermelon, and kale! (Other notable highlights include Swissconsin, Proscuitah, Avocolorado, and Quinoashington.)

Click through the slideshow below to see the 26 states they've created so far.

The #FoodnitedStates project was started in 2014, and the latest addition to the series, New Spampshire, depicts New Hampshire as meat product Spam.

Follow Foodiggity and the hashtag #Foodnited states on Instagram to keep up with the project. We can't wait to see how the series develops!
