Well here's a story one Dutch tourist will be telling for a while: He fell off a 4,000-foot cliff right in the middle of his honeymoon in Sri Lanka.

"I was making pictures, and I had a misstep. And I fell down backwards two times, and then I sit in bushes for like three and a half hours," Mamitho Lendas said.

Daily Mirror reports that around 40 members of the Sri Lankan Army helped rescue Mamitho Lendas, who miraculously landed in a tree about 130 feet below.

Lendas and his new bride were atop what's known as World's End in the Horton Plains National Park.

According to the travel site Rough Guides, World's End is known for its dangerous slope, which "falls sheer for the best part of a kilometre to the lowlands below."

"It makes him the first person to ever survive a fall from that cliff," HLN's Robin Meade reported.

Lendas was taken to a local hospital after the rescue, but there have been no reports of any injuries he sustained during the fall.
